Local and organic are the two main buzzwords in food today.  And both of these elements combine in a wonderful event to take place in September.  Coolanowle Organic Farm and Guesthouse is hosting an Organic Food  Fayre on the weekend of Sept 11^th and 12^th, to kick start National Organic Week.

Jimmy and Bernadine Mulhall, owners of Coolanowle house and farm, are Good Food Ireland members, also approved by the Bridgestone Guide and Georgina Campbell guide.  Several years ago, they chose the organic way of life, and now supply their meats direct to the public through a mobile butcher’s shop, at various farmer’s market in the region.  During the weekend, they will celebrate the launch of their new farm shop on site, and the production unit where handmade burgers and sausages are created.
