Project Info
Project Description
Irish Canoe Trails was established by Karl Rafferty and James Joyce in 2012. They are experienced water sport enthusiasts who have been involved in canoeing and kayaking for a number of years.
They received support under the Rural Development Programme to get their new venture off the ground (funding for purchase of Canadian Canoes and other equipment plus marketing package).
Irish Canoe Trails aims to create a safe and fun environment for training, instruction and guidance within the sport of canoeing.
They operate the majority of their trips on the quiet waters of the Grand Canal and the River Barrow and can also organise more advanced trips on other rivers.
