Barrowline Cruisers (owned by Philip and Orla Crean) is a friendly family-owned and operated narrowboat hire company based on the Grand Canal at Vicarstown, Co. Laois. Their well equipped base is ideally located to allow you explore the full extent of both the Grand Canal and River Barrow.

Cruising north from Vicarstown you travel the Barrowline section of the Grand Canal. This links with the Grand Canal main line at Lowtown. An ideal haven for the novice, simply relax and enjoy the passing countryside as its tranquil waters gently guide you on your way.

In the provious LEADER programme they received start-up funding from Laois Partnership to purchase and fit out two barges. Under ther current programme they received funding to further diversify the business by establishing a bicycle hire enterprise.
