The Local Authority Waters Programme are holding a community information meeting prior to the commencement of water quality assessment field work in the River Erkina Area for Action in Co. Laois as per attached poster.

The meeting takes place on Wednesday 27^th November at the Castle Arms Hotel in Durrow Co. Laois at 7.30pm to 9pm with refreshments afterwards as per the details below and in the attached posters. 

This meeting will inform the community about the planned monitoring work programmes involved and gather any local information that may help inform the process. We would be delighted if you would be able to attend and please do not hesitate to forward an invitation to the meeting to anyone you feel may be interested.

While the meeting is directly relevant to the communities within the Erkina River Catchment it may also be of interest to the wider Laois Community as further Laois waterbodies may undergo similar assessment over the coming period.
