As part of the SICAP programme, Laois Partnership Company, in collaboration with the Brazil-Ireland Association (BRIA), recently hosted a Career and Employability Workshop aimed at supporting the Brazilian community in Laois. The event was delivered in Portuguese by facilitators Louise Domingues and Viviane Rodrigues, both highly experienced professionals in the fields of career development and employability.
The workshop provided practical guidance on job searching, CV preparation, interview skills, and navigating the Irish employment landscape. It was inspiring to witness the participants’ eagerness to improve their prospects and take meaningful steps towards achieving their career goals.
Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing that they felt more confident and better prepared to pursue opportunities after the session. This workshop is a testament to the power of community-based support and culturally tailored resources in promoting social inclusion and personal advancement.
