The Mountmellick Development Association (MDA) have been supported by Laois Partnership Company to develop a modern state of the art facility incorporating three kitchens, one bakery and one training / demonstration kitchen. This facility provides an important first step for emerging and expanding food companies in the Midlands area. This is a unique way of providing aspiring food entrepreneurs with either long term or hourly/daily use of state of the art facilities without the prohibitive cost of building their own commercial kitchen.

Two of the kitchens will be available to established businesses requiring full-time space on a long-term basis; One of the kitchens will be available to start-up businesses requiring regular, but limited, time-share access only. Additionally, there will be a product development test kitchen which will be available to new, existing and expanding businesses wishing to test new products. The fifth kitchen will be a training unit accommodating for start your own food business training initiatives, culinary skills training, hospitality skills training, healthy eating seminars, food product launches, etc.

These kitchens may be leased on an hourly / daily basis or for periods of one year or more depending on customer requirements.
