Childcare Services
O’ Moore Place Childcare, based at Aras Eoghain, O’ Moore Place, Portlaoise, is a community-based childcare service that offers an open-door policy to all parents and children in the community. We deliver quality care and a play-based curriculum-based Aistear, which has four themes: well-being, identity and belonging, communication, and exploring and thinking.
We also include elements of the Montessori Method of Teaching and implement Siolta, The National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education.
As the curriculum is based on children’s lives and interests, we feel that this approach permits them to have a sense of pride and identity in themselves, their families and community.
We wish to make this service a home from home environment where the children become confident, capable and independent learners, as their voices are heard, always encouraged and respected.
