Mentoring Supports

Laois Partnership Company offers an ongoing range of mentoring supports to unemployed people to help them progress into employment, enterprise or further education. Our Unemployed Mentoring Programme, which is free-of-charge, offers a confidential, one to one personalised service, providing help and advice to individuals wishing to return to work.

A specific mentoring programme is provided to participants aged between 18 and 24, under the Youth Employment Initiative and aims to identify training needs, employment possibilities and new skills opportunities for these young people. For further information please contact Michelletuohy@laoispartnership.ie  or phone 057 – 8662732.

The Enterprise Mentoring Programme focuses on working with long term unemployed people who are interested in setting up a business. Support is provided in relation to self-employment, the Back to Work Enterprise Allowance, tax registration and business plan preparation. Clients are also facilitated with Start Your Business courses and with referral to appropriate agencies.
